There has always been one protein bar that we have entirely overlooked. Power Crunch Bars! These are from a brand that was previously known as BNRG but is now just known as “Power Crunch” on PricePlow.
These “wafer protein bars,” which are sold online, in supermarkets, and at Walmart. They contain the same premium protein blend as Proto Whey. A hydrolyzed whey protein isolate that is easily digestible by practically everyone.
Aside from the easier-to-digest protein, Power Crunch Bars distinguish themselves with a crunchy component, thanks to their thin wafer coating that is not found in many other locations. It has the same delicious cookie cream wafer flavor with the addition of protein.
Power Crunch Bar Original Ingredients:
The primary protein utilized to make Power Crunch Bars is hydrolyzed whey isolate. Which is a rarity among protein bars we’ve recently encountered. Typically, whey protein isolate (WPI) or a combination of isolates and concentrates is used to create a protein blend. We’ve got a mix here, but instead of starting with isolation, these bars begin with.
The first of three types of protein used by Power Crunch Bars are Micro Peptides. That is from Proto Whey by BioNutritional Research Group (BNRG). As you expect Proto Whey is a kind of High-DH hydrolyzed whey protein that contains 40% di and tripeptides.
The Degree of Hydrolysis (DH) reflects how much the protein has been broken down. The higher the DH, the faster the body absorbs individual amino acids, resulting in a larger anabolic reaction. [1,2] Power Crunch takes great satisfaction in the high quality of its protein.
The Proto Whey mix also contains two other dairy-based proteins. Whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate. Isolates and hydrolysates are more expensive. In terms of component costs and manufacture, they cannot be compared for ease of digestion.
This is because the powders contain nearly no carbohydrates (lactose). Isolates and hydrolysates are also extremely low in calories since nearly all of the fat has been eliminated, leaving only pure and simple high-protein deliciousness.
This amount of high-quality protein is intended for people who have difficulty digesting other milk-based proteins or who have immune/digestive system difficulties in general. If previous protein bars have let you down in those areas, it’s worth heading to the shop and giving this one a shot to see if you can stomach it!
The Rest
Sorting through all the remaining Power Crunch Bar ingredients is not an easy task. And don’t kid yourself, lads and gals; these aren’t the cleanest bars you’ll find on the shop shelf if that’s a factor for you.
Along with the three proteins mentioned above, there is palm oil, enriched flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), sugar, palm kernel oil, alkali-processed cocoa, fructose, natural flavors, soy lecithin, salt, baking soda, ammonium bicarbonate, stevia leaf extract. (Do you see what we mean when we say “laundry list” of ingredients?
No Fake sweeteners!
One thing we like about these bars is that they don’t include any artificial sweeteners, such as sucralose or Ace-K; all that’s used to sweeten them is a bit of sugar and stevia extract, both of which are considered natural sweeteners.
While we don’t consider this an “all-natural” product owing to some of the additional fillers, people who are allergic to sucralose, ace-k, and artificial colors will be OK with it.
By the way, if you want to understand more about Proto Whey, check out this video from BNRG that delves into the science and benefits of hydrolysate proteins:
There are several flavors to choose from.
What varieties are Power Crunch bars available in and how do they taste are more essential than the carb amount, calories, or component list.
We can’t answer the second half of your query just yet, but we do know the entire flavor list!

Wild Berry Creme seems exciting from the list of tastes since it’s not often you get delicious. berry flavors inside of a protein bar, and it’s quite tasty, but it’s probably better if you buy a couple at a time rather than the full box.
To discover how they are genuinely fair, we’ll have to keep our ears to the ground. For some reviews and maybe get our own in-house flavor lovers to perform a complete taste panel!
